Lake Kawaguchiko
Lake Kawaguchi, at the heart of the Fuji Five Lakes, is just two hours from Tokyo. Mt.Fuji rises majestically across the lake, and when conditions are right, its mirror image, the “Upside-down Fuji”, appears on the water’s surface. The lake is also known for its beauty throughout the seasons, including the cherry blossoms in spring and autumn colors in fall.
The surrounding area is full of museums, hot springs, and shops selling the local specialty, Hoto noodles. With superb views, gourmet food, and relaxation all in one place, it’s the perfect spot for first-timers and a classic destination for Mt.Fuji sightseeing!
